Americans are proudly anti-science. Don’t take my word for it. According to the Survey Center on American Life, a Conservative Think Tank related to the American Enterprise Institute (Oct. 6th, 2023), when presented with the claim “Evolution is the Best Explanation for the Origins of Human Life”, 37 percent of people didn't believe in this claim to various degrees. 1 I mean that’s already bad mainly due to evangelicals who take the Bible literally to an inordinate degree. Of course, while this should be good news compared to a Gallup poll with more recent information on the long term beliefs held, it has only steadily decreased more recently since 2012. 2 Yeah, over 13 years and people are still certain that Creationism is the ONLY way. However, I fear this number will dramatically increase and not even reflect personal opinions on Christians who believe that evolution happened with God’s guidance (around 34%).
Today with the Trump Administration’s recent attack on science and intellectualism, I heavily fear a brain drain of the worst kind. Dumbing down America to not let them think critically for themselves.
Looking at the World Population Review, the 5 worst states for literacy rates are California, New York, Florida, Texas, and New Jersey. 3 The results are bad but there’s differing reasons for why each state is failing at teaching literacy. However, Trump’s Education Secretary Linda McMahon, who has no teaching credentials whatsoever., (Her Major was in French, not Education as people love to claim) 4 is seeking to dismantle the Department of Education as much as legally possible without Congressional approval. So a lot of the States will be forced to add more funds from taxpayers or cut programs to diminish school power. But wait, there’s more!

Trump is also defunding Universities, NIH, and more programs which benefit us. For the Universities, Harvard and Columbia are the first, probably won't be last, in being major universities being defunded primarily due to ideology issues, DEI programs, teaching “wrongthink” and more. But one of the main reasons is Palestine. Columbia has recently been caught in upheaval due to the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil. Khalil was arrested as he was here on student visa as part of a group criticizing Israel’s war crimes against Palestine with their apathetic bombing of everything and everyone in the area. Despite throwing Khalil under the bus and doing little to demand the President help stop his arrest and potential deportation, Trump defunded them anyway under the guise of ‘not stopping antisemitism.” 5 I’ll be going into another article about how this is just pure bullshit. And even Harvard, who refused to allow Trump’s toady administrators to dictate Harvard’s education policies, got the funding boot on them too. But once again, it's no surprise this is also due to gatekeeping protests against Israel and the current administration. 6 And I haven’t even gotten started with NIH.

Trump’s choice of head of the Secretary of Health and Human Services was one of his most controversial and still can be felt on a major level, RFK Jr. A member of the prestigious Kennedy political Dynasty, RFK’s credentials on health are zero. I’m beginning to notice a trend here. RFK has a …. Unique sense of claims. From trying to rediscover the link that autism is caused by vaccines, Covid is immune to Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews, and that Poppers, a drug commonly used by Gay men to have fun with, causes AIDS and not HIV, it makes you wonder why in God’s name this incompetent fool was chosen for this job. So while RFK is wasting our taxpayer money on a study that was done years ago and had found no positive correlation links between vaccines and autism, Trump’s administration has decided not to fund HHS programs to help regular Americans. And to make matters worse, there is no research or promotion into looking into our current Bird Flu 7 and Measles 8 epidemics.
Mango Mussolini prides himself in believing these cuts will Make America Great Again. As I stated in the title, it Makes America Dumb Again. Despite demanding the US increase our goods production, he forgets to look at our services economy. One of them being Education. While I did sidetrack into medical research, that too is also a part of education. If Trump doesn’t wish to help showcase that he is the leader in Education resources, it will bleed into the world. If you don't wish to believe me, take this story. Knessia Petrova, a Russian Scientist, moved to the US when her own country started the infamous Ukraine War. She’s been part of a group researching anti-aging to help us live longer than we are now and to look into how aging affects us. Trump’s administration had ICE detain her in February and now she is in danger of going back home to be imprisoned again due to her views of Russia’s authoritarianism. 9 While she is going to be here at least until July for a follow up court hearing, this is dangerous. It’s making scientists, academics, culture preservationists, and business leaders fear coming to America to learn any field of learning or expertise. Petrova leaving Russia was part of a brain drain that happened to Russia’s youth in the beginning of the Ukraine-Russia war. Trump wants history to rhyme again. And people are already dying because of Trump’s apathy.
I urge my fellow Americans to keep higher education as sacred. Yes there are lots of corrupt issues within the American Education System from its formats on headcounts equaling public funds, private education loans being overpriced and hard to pay off, and more. However, Trump doesn’t want to reform the system. He wants its destruction. He wants people dumb enough not to question how bad we have it compared to his rich elite friends, but he wants us smart enough to run the machines that take over our jobs and more. And the wages are another article for another day. One final note is that Trump’s war on Education won’t affect just Americans but the foreign tuition as well. We saw it already with others but I know that most students will go back to Europe for their education, Americans will head to Europe for Education or ….. Maybe ….. China. I mean after all, they already are taking our federal employees. 10
